About fruutium
What fruutium is, who builds it, and the rules we hold ourselves to.
What fruutium is
fruutium is a nutrition education app for kids ages 4 to 13, and it's free to start. It teaches healthy habits across four areas: food, movement, sleep, and hydration. Kids learn through short lessons and play games that reinforce what they read. A parent sets up the account and manages it, and their children learn from there. Along the way kids earn Honey Points they can spend in an in-app shop, and families can compare progress on a shared leaderboard. There is also a public library of guides and recipes anyone can read without an account. The learning loop is free, and whatever a family already has stays theirs. fruutium runs in any modern web browser, with no download and no app-store account. It was made for parents who want their kids to learn about food and health somewhere calm, without ads or games designed to keep them scrolling.
Who builds it
fruutium is built by a small team of high schoolers. We wanted a nutrition app for kids that had no ads and no trackers following them around, and we couldn't find one we trusted, so we built it ourselves. We're not a big company, and we're not trying to become one. The point is to make something we'd be comfortable handing to a younger sibling.
The rules we hold ourselves to
- Private by design. A parent creates the account and manages it, and children use the app under that parent.
- No ads, anywhere in the app.
- No trackers on the pages your kids use. A cookieless, PII-free traffic counter runs only on the public marketing pages, never inside the app.
- We don't sell your family's data to anyone.
- You can delete a child's data, or the whole family account, at any time from Settings.
fruutium is built to comply with COPPA, the U.S. children's privacy law. The full detail of what we store and how to remove it lives in our Privacy Policy.
