For schools, libraries, and other organizations
If you work with families, here's what fruutium is and how to share it.
What fruutium is
fruutium is a free web app that teaches kids ages 4 to 13 about nutrition, movement, sleep, and mindfulness through short lessons and games. A parent sets up the account, and their kids play from there. There's a family leaderboard, Honey Points kids earn and spend in an in-app shop, and a public library of guides and recipes anyone can read without an account. The core learning loop is free, and what a family already has never goes away.
Who built this
fruutium is built by a small team of high schoolers. We wanted a kids' nutrition app without ads or trackers, so we made one.
Why it's safe to point families toward
- No ads, no ad trackers, no behavioral tracking. A cookieless, PII-free traffic counter runs only on the public marketing pages, never inside the app itself.
- A parent creates the account and accepts parental consent before any child’s data is stored.
- We store a child’s age. We never ask for a birthdate.
- A parent can delete their child’s data, or the whole family account, at any time from Settings.
How your organization can share it with families
Sharing fruutium is just passing along a link: fruutium.web.app. Each parent creates their own account and completes the parental consent step themselves, the same way any parent would. Your organization never enrolls a child, never creates an account for a family, and no student data ever reaches fruutium. What we know about a family is only what that parent chooses to enter when they sign up.
